What should i do if i have had a bad cavity for awhile but it's recently started putting me in miserable pain. till i can get to a dentist what would help the pain?

Not much...: .. You've had a bad cavity for a while, and now you are miserable. Soon the pain will be unbearable. Why are you waiting so long? Make the call to a local dentist and you'll feel better soon. This can become worse mighty fast, so don't delay.

Miserable pain: 1. Call a dentist and set up an appointment today or early tomorrow morning. I am sure you can find a dentist to see you right away on an emergency basis. Make the time or you will probably be very sorry as the pain goes from "miserable" to "intolerable". 2. Take some otc pain medication such as advil, motrin, aleve, (naproxen) or what you would normally take for a headache. 3. Remember this for the future.
