The big picture: Getting with a therapist will help and this can usually be done quickly. In addition to guided exposure and desensitization, think about the purpose of getting an injection. The positive impact on your health is there for any reasonable person to understand -- but take it a step further, and think how much your health matters to the people who love you. As someone once said, "love casts out fear.".

CBT: Seek a cognitive-behavioral therapist who specializes in phobias. One method they use is systematic desensitization which slowly and incrementally brings the person closer and closer to the thing they are afraid of in slow, graduated steps that help make the anxiety more tolerable.
