ELISA at 9-10 weeks: 99+% sensitive and specific. The 3rd generation HIV tests can pick up antibody reliably at approx 15 days. 4th generation antigen/antibody tests even sooner. This means a certified laboratory doing the testing. In the us we confirm elisa with western blot testing.
