A member asked:

When i push hard to exhale i hear this high/low pitch whining sound and i have a mild sore throat, what is wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Spasm: A whining sound or wheeze produced by forced expiration is usually a sign of spasm in the bronchial tubes.A dry cough often follows. The accompanying sore throat suggests any early bronchitis which is probably viral in origin. If symptoms worsen(more wheezing, deeper cough, fever) a visit to your physician is recommended.
