A member asked:

Doctors can you tell me why do i have peanut/treenut allergies but i've eaten food with them?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Food allergy: do you mean to say you tested positive or reacted to them while eating them? if you reacted to them while eating them, you should avoid them until you see an allergist and get tested to have answers to your questions. In case you tested positive on a random allergy test and have been able to eat them without symptoms, these can be false positive tests. you should discuss this with an allergist
