Possibly: Throat swelling can be related to allergies from food, medication or even inhaled allergens. Other possible reasons for throat swelling are infections (strep, mono and other viruses), globus sensation and more unusual causes such as compression from tumor or large thyroid gland. An ENT physician and allergist can help.
