A member asked:

Would a recent suicide attempt effect me in the future?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

For the better: There's a stigma in having made an attempt, and rightly so -- but when people see you are working hard to get your life back together, learning useful skills, avoiding getting trapped in problem relationships, and trying to be the best person you can be, you'll discover you suddenly have troops of friends. Hurrah for you just for having had the courage to ask. Best wishes.
