I don't know the : Cause or nature of your nightmares. They sound horribly painful however. There are medications to help control nightmares. One of them is prazosin. Nightmares are often but not always caused by post traumatic stress disorder. There is also a nightmare disorder which used to be called dream anxiety disorder. Please reference the link below regarding that.En.Wikipedia.Org/wiki/nightmare_disorder image rehearsal therapy is the most widely accepted form of psychotherapy for this condition.Your other question has to do with your existential struggle with the nightmares. If you are a victim of extreme abuse, then it is normal to have the feelings that you are having.People are not negating your feelings when they say that they want you to live. They are not being sadistic. They may be at a loss of words as to what to say to you. This is where a knowledgeable and supportive therapist can be of infinite value to you.Certainly if you are suicidal now i recommend that you call 911 or go to the er. If that is not the case, then check out the therapies that I have noted above and hopefully you will find relief. Best wishes for improved health.

Don't quit: There is always help available. Things may seem unbearable now, but they will get better. However you have to take the first step. You must seek counseling and talk to your doctor. They really want to help. It may take several tries to find the right therapist and the best medicine. Be patient with yourself. Here's too finding peace soon.
