Twisted and narrowed: It can be twisted and curved throughout the chest, like a snake. The condition can be painful. I hope this helps, but more helpful would be a trip to your doctor.

Not straight: This means that instead of the esophagus goin straight from the mouth to the stomach, it is curved irregularly. This is usually due to a large hiatal hernia, but can also be seen without a hernia, usually in older patients (age undefined!). Hope this helps!
