It is possible: Dry socket is a common post extraction bone complication, inflammation of the alveolar bone. There is a possibility that you will have dry socket or inflammation of the surrounding structures (gums). At the same time your pain could be a first step of healing, inflammation. Schedule an appointment with your dentist for post-surgery evaluation.
