Please help! i had my upper second premolar extracted this morning, and blood clot is shrinking 10 hours later. is it possible/normal for blood clot to shrink in the first day? no pain (yet?) and i'm afraid of getting a dry socket

Normal : You most likely have nothing to worry about. Dry sockets are much harder to get on the upper extraction sites. If you are following the directions of not smoking and not using a straw you are probably going to be just fine. Best of luck!
