Docs can you explain, is there really a 'best' toothpaste?

Yes: I advise crest pro-health, or colgate total, both of these toothpaste have ingredients that can attach themselves (on a molecular level) for about eight hours!

Toothpaste: Toothpastes help to clean teeth because they are abrasive. They contain flavorings as well. Some contain Fluoride which can be an aid in reducing cavities. Bottom line- chose the one you'll use at least twice a day.

Not really: There is no one universally agreed upon "best toothpaste" among dentists. Ask your own dentist which one he\she recommends for you based upon your individual circumstances. There are special rx toothpastes for specific needs. Good oral hygiene with proper brushing and flossing after meals is the real key! (along with a health diet).

Lots of choices: It's a huge industry with lots of choices. Look for products that have the American Dental Association Seal on the package which means the product performs as advertised. Ask your Dentist which toothpaste is best for you, everyone's different. And make sure kids use only a pea-sized portion of children's toothpaste for appropriate fluoride levels.
