It can't: Listerine can neither prevent, treat or cure tooth decay. In fact, it is not a necessary part of good oral hygiene. In my opinion people rely too heavily of the benefits of most mouth washes. Proper brushing, flossing and avoiding foods and beverages that contribute to cavities is the best way to prevention. Only a dentist can repair the ravages of tooth decay.

Listerine miracle tx: Simply put the answer to your question is a resounding no!. Listerine can be a helpful adjunct to homecare and fresh breath, but it is not a substitute for proper brushing and flossing daily, and absolutely cannot at this juncture restore cavities. They still need to be restored by a dentist removing the decay from the tooth and placing a restoration to rebuild missing tooth structure.
