I was wondering is it ok to floss, brush, and use mouthwash after a root canal?

Yes, generally but..: Unless you have the permanent restoration (like composite or crown) placed over the root canal treated tooth you should exercise caution. Follow your dentist's instruction. For example, if you floss normally, a temporary filling, in certain cases, may become dislodged. Instead, i tell my patient to snap the floss in then let go of one hand the pull the floss out from the side of the tooth.

Yes: Yes, it is ok to brush, floss and use mouthwash after a root canal. The only time not to floss is if the dentist told you not to so as not to dislodge a temporary filling.
