What is it like for adult to get braces?

Mostly comfortable: Most of our adult patients are extremely comfortable with braces. Depanding upon what kind of mechanics used, metal, ceramic braces or clear aligners like the invisalign , discomfort might range from none to little. Request your orthodontist to not go full strength or full force right away and build an "ntroductory period of getting used to basics" first stage.

Braces: There are so many adults today with braces and it's never too late to get a healthier, more beautiful smile. However, you can expect some soreness with braces. It will be worth it.

Annoyance - braces: During the process of braces you will return every month or so for adjustment visits. The arch wires are adjusted or changed and this will cause some discomfort handled with advil (ibuprofen) or motrin. You may have other devices added to your braces such as headgear, elastics, miniscrews, or other appliances. Ask your orthodontic specialist for details as to what to expect.
