Malocclusion: Malocclusion will cause unconcious tooth grinding and bruxing at night, leading to acute pain and possible tooth mobility in the morning. Was the gum bleeding or abscess. Pulpal involvement occurring with prolonged bruxing/grinding will also cause irreversible pulpitis, pulpal necrosis, abscess, and ultimately pain. Check with your dentist.

See your dentist: for complete examination, x-rays and treatment. Regardless of the cause of the dental pain, infection, trauma or bruxism, it will not go away on its own, so it's important not to ignore the symptoms.
