Immunoglobulins:: High igg means the person was exposed to the infective agent in the past or got vaccination against it, means immunity against it. High igm means, the person has new exposure or infection now. Eb virus causes mono, infects 95% of world population, 1/3rd. Cases occur during adolescence and young adulthood, virus shed in oral secretions >6mo after an infection.
