Raised ict is a contraindication to lp. meningitis has raised ict. then how do we do an lp in meningitis to collect csf?

Volume of CSF: Meningitis does raise icf but usually not to the levels that would cause brain stem herniation on removing 1-3 ml of CSF and that is enough to diagnose meningitis.
