Revovered from meningitis. i get occasional nose leaks, but neg. for csf. could i have a leak that they aren't finding? maybe a leak in back from lp?

See below: Leak from LP would not come out through the nose. Wish you good health. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

No: A nasal CSF leak would occur from head trauma that broke through the supportive structures of the nose/eye. (not meningitis)These are dangerous because of the germs nearby. Your LP area can leak into the skin for a brief but would soon be walled off. There is no way for it to get to the skin surface.The LP uses a steel tube to channel the flow out,once removed it collapses/seals
