Fibers and fluids: Benefiber, metamucil, fibercon are all effective and safe. Increase fluids and keep active. Roughages such as fresh/leafy veggies and fruits are healthy and will help constipation as well. Mineral oil can also be used because it is not absorbed. Keep active and drink plenty of fluid regularly. Hypothyroidism can cause constipation, and many medications do too, so consult doc for eval. Good luck.
