Costochondritis?: The location and timing suggest costochondritis, a rheumatologic pain syndrome most often affecting premenopausal women that is highly prevalent and not dangerous. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (like Ibuprofen or naproxen) can provide some relief but it may be incomplete in some people.
