A member asked:

For a 3 month old with silent reflux, when is best time of the day to give cereal? before each feed of around supper time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I don't recommend: I don't usually recommend cereal feedings for babies under 4-5 months, per aap guidelines. The best way to treat reflux is to keep a baby upright for 15-20 minutes after feedings, burp frequently, and avoid overfeeding. Your doctor may recommend an acid reducer if the reflux is severe. If your baby is growing well, she will probably grow out of this in time.
