I ask the question about my blood pressure being really high and everyone says lose weight. i weigh 115 lbs what else do i need to do to bring it down?

May be unrelated. : While weight loss in an overweightperson can be helpful with a new diagnosis of high blood pressure, it may have nothing to do with it. High blood pressure often is not caused by anything specific other than genetics in patients with a positive family history.

BP needs evaluation: While maintaining a normal body weight can help in the management of hypertension, there are many other factors involved. You should seek medical attention from a general internist or family physician who can determine if you do, indeed, have hypertension and then, how best to treat it. Good luck!
