Using Inhalers: Inhalers, to be effective, must not be in the mouth or touching the lip. They should be at least 2 cm away from the open mouth. There needs to be enough space and time for the medication to develop a fine mist to be inhaled with the breath. If it is in the mouth or touching the lip most of the medication will just hit the back of the throat before it can turn into a breathable mist. Good question.
