Grinding teeth: Sounds like temporomandibular joint disease (tmj). If this is so, a jaw guard is used to help relieve the tension of the muscles in that region while you are sleeping, and also minimize teeth grinding. You would need to see your dentist as well.

U may have TMJ: Tmj is quite common and cause your symptoms. Reduce/avoid chewing hard/chewy foods, caffeine, clenching teeth. Treat grinding/clenching teeth (wear nightguard--available otc), use some Motrin etc...Hand-to-chin push stretching exercises etc..Don't sleep on your sides or belly...Of course, manage your stress will help. If these measures don't help, consult your doc...Or dentist.. Good luck.
