Psychiatrist versus neuropsychiatrist.: Personally i don't see much of a difference. I have never used the term neuropsychiatrist although i consider myself quite well-versed in the field. We are all trained in psychiatry and neurology. My take on it is that there are some people who think that they are so super specialized in the application of medications that they feel entitled to put neuropsychiatrist after their name. To me it basically indicates someone who probably does not have a lot of interest in doing psychotherapy and the type of broad general practice of psychiatry that the typical frontline psychiatristis quite familiar with.I am curious as to what my colleagues think about this issue.
