Get a semen analysis: If you haven't done this already, ask your doctor to order a semen analysis! if it shows a low sperm count or other problems, you will want to consult a fertility doctor. There may be a number of relatively 'low-tech' things (such as intra-uterine insemination) that may help enormously. But i'd encourage you to do this now. Also, read 'taking charge of your fertility' by toni weschler. Good luck.

Fertility: At the age of 34, recommendations are to consult a fertility specialist if 1 year of unprotected sex has not resulted in pregnancy. Both of you would need to be examined so that recommendations can be made. Your partner could have his sperm tested, since this is an issue in a significant number of couples.
