Absolutely not: Any relationship can become abusive, but it often happens in dating and marital relationships. I've also seen abuse between parent and child, boss and employee, friends or peers, teacher and student, siblings, religious clergy and parishioners, etc. All types are painful. If concerned that you may be in an abusive relationship, please talk with your doctor, a psychologist, or a psychiatrist.
