May be unrelated: You may have vitamin d deficiency but it may not be the cause of your foot pain. Even if these two are unrelated you should take vitamin d3 supplement of about 2000 units/day to correct the vitamin deficiency.

Vitamin D def: Could potentially make it easier for bone to fracture. Do you have a fracture? Otherwise, I am not sure the mere fact your vit d levels are low is a cause and effect of foot pain. Many people have low vitamin d levels.
