Foot drop: Not sure if the foot drop is entirely related to B12 deficiency. Make sure there is no Folic Acid deficiency on top of it. You're already getting B12 vitamin. All b group vitamins are good for nerve function. I would refer you to physical therapy to help restore foot function.

No known way: Nerve cell growth is dependent on 'axonal transport' proteins and necessary nutrients have to flow along the length of the nerve cell to regenerate some of the far end. In a long legged 6' man these nerves can be 4' long from spine to foot that's a long way without anything to pump it along. Nothing is known to speed this up.
