No: See your dentist for adjustments. The numbing medicine will allow you to do things which will make your tissues worse. You need the adjustments to customize the fit to your mouth. A certain amount of adjustments are usually included in your fee.

Yes but: You can use over the counter meds for short term pain relief. But you should go back to your dentist to have them adjusted.
