A member asked:

I'm wondering how long is mono contagious for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Variable: Most are contagious for 2-3 weeks, a few up to 3 months. Rarely a person can shed the germ in saliva off and on for years. Segregation during the active phase is often considered adequate.(2-3 wks).
