Jaw pain: There should be no jaw pain after getting a filling. If pain is present, it could be that the bite needs to be adjusted. Or, the decay may have been very deep (or the tooth was fractured) causing the nerve to be irritated or infected. In that case the tooth may need a root canal. Best to return to your dentist and have it examined.

Happen quite often: 3-5 days. The sore jaw could be from the local anesthesia injection itself. This is nothing to be worry about, but it does happen quite often after dental treatments.
