Myostatic contractur: Myostatic contracture is a reversible shortening of a muscle belly that is painless unless the muscle is forcibly stretched. It occurs when a muscle is kept from reaching its full resting length for a prolonged period of time aka dental treatment. This condition is usually reversible with moist heat and passive stretch exercises.
