A member asked:

I'm wondering how long can you wait to get a root canal finished?

Depends: If a pulpectomy had been performed you should not wait more than 1-2 months. Even after root canal treatment is completed you still need to have the permanent restoration placed on the root-canal-treated tooth. Without a crown a tooth can fracture more easily. A catastrophic crack can render a tooth useless and needing extraction. Don't wait.
