Good concern: It is good that you are already aware of such post-extraction complications. If you were given a post-op instruction, please read well and follow it. Make sure not to spit hard if you rinse your mouth (keep it to minimum for the first couple days), stay on a soft diet, if unsure request a post-extraction exam or check to make sure healing is normal. Losing blood clot leads to dry socket.
