No: Toothpaste alone cannot whiten teeth, but it helps to remove any coloring stain, as well as keeping the stain from sticking and building up. If you already have teeth that are white enough for you, only occasional touch-up whitening and mostly brushing with toothpaste will keep the teeth white. If you want to have them whiter, it is best to have professionally formulated whitening at the dentist.
