Cause?: If the crossbite is dental, teeth out of position, and relatively mild, clear aligners can help. If crossbite is skeletal, upper jaw too narrow and therefore teeth out of position, clear aligners are not the right '"medicine." clear aligners move teeth, not bone, and are no where near as sophisticated as other types of treatment.
