Brushing: Only if you are using a really abrasive toothpaste. Gentle brushing of your teeth twice per day for 5 minutes each time is more than sufficient especially if you floss. You can inadvertently damage gum tissue by brushing too much, however that should heal. Thorough gentle brushing twice per day and flossing won't hurt anything.
