I'm curious if you need a strong stomach to be a dentist?

Nope : In fact, some of us have really big, fat, soft ones! dentistry is one of greatest professions in the world. In what other field do you get paid to help so many? Practice the arts? Employ the sciences? And enjoy a great lifestyle as a doctor? Would do it all again if i had to! of course, a poor sense of smell can be a strong selling point...

Not necessarily: Yes, there are certain aspects of dentistry that are not for the most squeamish people in the world, however, the more you get accustomed to seeing something and focused on treating something, the stronger your stomach gets! Initially there were things that mildly grossed me out, but everyone gets over that very quick and you don't even think about it anymore. It becomes routine!
