Topicals, UV light: Vitiligo can be mild or severe, stay in remission for many years but suddenly flare and then spread to involve larger parts of the body. It can be treated with various topicals (ie: elidel, (pimecrolimus) protopic, topical steroids, tretinoin), light therapy (puva, uvb laser, light box). These treatments can help with repigmentation but does not cure the disease, may continue to recur and worsen.
