Clotting factors: Clotting factors are produced in the liver. So with liver cirrhosis one could sometimes bruise or bleed. With liver cirrhosis there could be increase pressure in blood vessels in the esophagus which could also bleed. I recommend you follow up with your pcp.

Low platelets : Cirrhosis of deliver is usually associated with decreased platelet counts. This decrease can lead to bleeding both on a small scale and a larger scale. So the answer to your question is yes. Cirrhosis of the liver could cause either.
