No: Lockjaw refers to a tetanus infection that effects the muscles and would prevent you from opening your mouth. Tetanus is very rare these days as most people are up to date with tetanus immunization. You need to be more specific as to what is wrong with your mouth not opening wide to try and determine what is wrong.
