Use the oldr more: Invasive and less successful surgeries or temporary collagen injections. Lose weight and do pelvic floor therapy. Thin small strips of mesh are the gold standard for stress incontinence and the fda agrees its the pelvic floor meshes that are the problem for reconstructiin.

Stress incontinence: Treatment of sui is only indicated when the patient feels something must be done. I find that kegel exercises only help the mildest of leakage. Many older women who don't want incisional surgery, opt for peri-urethral bulking agents. Most healthy women do best with mid-urethral sling surgery which is minimally invasive.

There are other: options. Talk to your doctor about pelvic floor physical therapy. Also some types of incontinence will respond to medication or bladder botox

UROLOGY W/U: You need a full exam labs and UA C&S. Ultrasound of kidney and bladder. Urology evaluation for overactive or under active bladder muscles. While you are awaiting work up you can start Kegal Exercises and discuss with your doctor medications to treat incontinence, there are multiple options
