Either: Either no longer used, nitrous oxide, kita mean, local, propofol. These agents are all safe and effective.

Progress: It's been half a century. Cars have changed. Tv's no longer black and white. Gall bladder surgery is done through a 1" incision. And dental anesthesia has come light years.

So much better now!: First, I am sorry to hear that your 1960's experience was not pleasant. Don't worry, things have gotten so much better now! sleeping gas may be what we call "laughing gas", which is odorless. If you actually had a gas to be unconscious, and need it again now, discuss your concerns with your doctor. His/her team will likely answer questions to remove all your worries prior to your treatment day.
