Unknown: There is a huge amount of variability of costs between medical facilities and providers. Mris can range from a few hundred to thousands depending on where it is performed. Speak with the billing department at the facility you are considering. They made be able to provide an estimate.

Speak with your doc: A complicated question to answer in todays healthcare world ! costs include the doc, the facility and anesthesia which can vary in total from a few $1000 to $10, 000. An MRI these days runs around $500 cash. Good questions to get answered up front before going forward with anything so there are no surprises. And don't forget therapy after !

It depends...: Do you have insurance coverage? If your doctor is a contracted member of your insurance plan, and your deductible and co-insurance level is reasonable, the cost should be nominal. Ask your doctor's office staff the check your benefits and provide you with an out-of-pocket estimate. This should be pretty close to your exact cost.
