A member asked:

Sister just diagnosed with ms at 27 years old . is she going to die early? can she live a normal life? any supplaments help her? why does she tremor

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Needs DMT: Typically, with appropriate disease modifying therapy, a normal lifespan is likely if one has relapsing-remitting ms. Some supplements are truly mandatory, such as vitamin d-3, 5, 000- 10, 000 units daily, but low fat, low salt diet also of value. Our local group recommends starting with potent medication, either tysabri (natalizumab) or gilenya, for first 5 yrs, depending on anti-jcv titers. (see below).
