Try cold compress: Have you tried icing the area? Often the first thing i try for sore muscles or injuries is ice for 20 min at a time, combine this with gentle stretching and massage of the area afterwards and 400mg Ibuprofen if you're not allergic to it and don't have stomach or kidney disease. If no improvement i would see your physician or a podiatrist.
