I have cervical spinal cord compression due to a disc protrusion. i have had a headache today. do i need to go to er or just gp. when do i go to er?

ER: If it is truly an acute cervical compression of the "cord" due to an acute traumatic compression, and headache is only one of several symptoms (difficulty walking, diff. With coordination, limb numbness, bowel or bladder loss), then go the er. Have you had an MRI that shows a "protrusion?" if it is a small protrusion not affecting the cord, then your gp would be more appropriate.

See ur GP: Er will not do anything for this. You may need referral to see spine specialist.
