Yes, but claim how..: If they are incredibly built like a bodybuilder, and say 'now this is what god looks like', or if a knockout lady says, 'i'm a sex goddess', and it is not stated in serious, scary manner, then don't suspect we're dealing with delusional. If they truly believe that they are a god and as such can use their power as they wish...Yes, these are dangerous delusions. A pro must assess the whole picture.

Maybe: Perhaps it helps to look at the person's culture, family, or church, and see whether this kind of idea is usual there or not. Some cultures might speak this way -- saying perhaps that all of us are gods, or children of the creator, etc. It the person's expressions are bizarre, markedly different from his/her culture, and interfere with relationships and work, etc, they may be "delusional".
